Terms
The rules of the road.
Booking a tour is an agreement between you and us — here it is, in plain language.
Who you're booking with
Tours are arranged by Scandinavian History Tours (org. nr 559123-4567), Köpmangatan 14, 111 31 Stockholm, Sweden. Contact: info@scandinavianhistorytours.com, +46 8 123 456 78.
Booking and confirmation
A booking becomes binding when we send you a confirmation email. Until then it's a request — we may need to check guide availability, group size or weather first. Prices are shown per person and include Swedish VAT (moms) where applicable.
Right of withdrawal (ångerrätt)
A guided tour is a leisure service that takes place on a specific date. Under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act (distansavtalslagen, ch. 2 §§ 1a and 11), services tied to a set date — cultural and leisure activities, events and similar — are exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal. The cancellation terms below apply instead.
Cancellations and changes
By you: cancel at least 24 hours before the start for a full refund; cancellations later than that aren't refundable.
By us: if weather, safety or too few bookings force a change, we'll tell you as early as we can and offer a free reschedule or a full refund — your choice.
On the tour
Tours are walking-only on public streets. You're responsible for your own safety, mobility and weather-appropriate clothing. We may end participation without a refund if someone's behaviour disrupts the tour for other guests.
Liability
We carry tour-operator liability insurance. We're not responsible for personal belongings, weather, or injury arising from your own conduct, and our liability is limited to the price you paid except where Swedish law provides otherwise. Circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure) may prevent a tour; the cancellation terms then apply.
Complaints and disputes
Please tell us first — info@scandinavianhistorytours.com — and we'll do our best to put it right. If we can't agree, you can refer a consumer dispute to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN — arn.se), whose recommendations we follow, and get free guidance from Hallå Konsument (Konsumentverket). These terms are governed by Swedish law, with Stockholm as the venue.
